Alternative Christian Education, Trades Training and Mentoring Program
ACE
The Alternative Christian Education (ACE) Trades Training and Mentoring Program introduces participants to the construction industry. The ACE Program is designed to accommodate people with low literacy levels and from various cultural backgrounds. The ACE Program is very versatile and can be adapted to suit individual circumstances.
Nationally Accredited Training
- Certificate I in Construction (CPC10111)
- Certificate II in Construction (CPC20112)
- General Construction Induction ‘White Card’ for working in the construction industry.
Graduates of the course will meet the accreditation requirements for either Certificate I or II in Construction, as asssessed by, and in collaboration with the Australian College of Career Development (Edubiz International Ltd- RTO 31980)
The Program Aims
1. Build up participants spiritually and physically in Jesus’name by training them for employment in the construction industry.
2. Provide training for participants to obtain a Certificate I and II in Construction
3. Provide intensive mentoring to equip participants to function in society in a way that is beneficial to the community. For example, by addressing issues that have previously made participants unemployable including problems relating to budgeting, mental and physical health, addictions, nutritional eating, personal hygiene and a routine lifestyle.
4. Provide on the job training, work experience, work references, employment opportunities or continued trades training.
5. Assist participants in fulfilling basic requirements to become employed e.g. tax file number.
6. Assist participants in obtaining a driver’s license and accommodation with the absence of drugs, alcohol and gambling.
7. Address anti-social behaviour and crime prevention through participants having respect for other people’s property and pride in their painting work as they start to improve community buildings.
